“Having a home base in the heart of San Francisco, made our stay all that more enjoyable. Being alongside the park was a great joy and the sunsets from the bedrooms were inspiring.”

“As a VRBO member I was very impressed, Brenda and Mark have thought of everything. They even had our favorite Hawaiian music CD! We loved that Golden Gate Park is across the street, every morning we took our walk and explored the park. As our two girls now both live in S.F., we will be spending more time at The Blue Tree in the future.”

“The accommodation was everything the web site said it would be. Ideally located to the Muni, which enabled us to get all over town quickly. It was spacious, and felt like we had been there for ages, even though we had just arrived. Mark and Brenda are fabulous people, and it was a great pleasure to meet them”.”

“The Blue Tree offers a breath of serenity in the midst of a bustling city. My family (children aged 9 and 6) really enjoyed the easy access to Golden Gate Park and walked in the park nearly every morning during our stay. The hosts, Mark, Brenda, and their son "KK," were warm and extremely helpful with everything from recommending restaurants to supplying age-appropriate videos for our children (who absolutely adored "Totoro"). They welcomed us into their lives and their art (we got to attend a Taiko drumming practice), and Brenda even arranged the services of an excellent local tailor when an emergency need arose during our stay.
We'll be back.”

“My husband and I, and two of our closest friends had the fortune to stay at the Blue Tree in July '04. We travel a lot and demand a lot too!! We weren't disappointed by BT. Brenda, Mark and KK couldn't have been more friendly and helpful to us. Indeed Brenda's 'book' was very useful, and along with all the very useful maps and guides that are available from the lovely cabinet in the dining room we were able to explore the local neighbourhood, what we like to do best, and didn't have to hang around downtown like 'tourists'. We all felt that we saw the real SF.
Our one concern was that BT only has one bathroom - four adults usually require two! - but we needn't have worried. There was CONSTANT hot water, the shower was marvellous, particularly after we cycled from Pier 39 to Sausalito and the separate loo was ideal. Having all the amenities was great. You can cater for yourself as mush or as little as you need. The washing machine was a godsend as when we left SF we were on the road for a week, so at least we set off with clean, unsmelly clothes. We would have liked a dishwasher, but it was great fun watching husbands remember how to get dishes clean, and dry. A sport that should be in the Olympics in my book.
Would we recommend the Blue Tree? In a heartbeat!”
