Our vintage 1905 Edwardian flat features original turn-of-the-century architectural details, beautifully restored red oak hardwood floors, and an elegant yet relaxing ambiance. Its two bedrooms come complete with Egyptian cotton linen on each queen bed, garden views, and spectacular sunsets. Our light-filled living room is comfortable with a sofa-sleeper, fireplace heater, and an antique Chinese cinnabar cabinet with cable TV, DVD and VCR. Wi-fi internet connection is also available. For people who like to cook, the large kitchen and teak dining table that seats 8 is a delight. The Blue Tree is a perfect home-base for vacation, business travel, or creative quietude.

We are conveniently located in the geographic center of San Francisco, with the famous Golden Gate Park nearly at our doorstep. Major bus lines are nearby, with the closest bus stop half a block away. Only a stroll away is the De Young museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Arboretum, and acres of botanical beauty. There are free Sunday summer concerts in the bandshell, and Tai Chi with Chinese masters at sunrise. Across the Park are trendy cafes, restaurants, bookstores and boutiques. Within blocks of The Blue Tree are delis, cafes, restaurants, several Yoga centers, as well as one of the city's best gyms.

We are an old San Francisco family. Our family name, Aoki, translates to "blue tree." We named our place The Blue Tree in honor of our grandfather, who was one of the founders of San Franciscoís Japantown. Many international artists have come to The Blue Tree for rejuvenation and creation. My husband is a composer and I am a professional storyteller, performer. Because we too travel a lot, we understand the need for both tranquility and convenient access. Ideally located to nurture both body and soul, and to access the city's many delights, The Blue Tree can make your vacation or business trip a truly San Francisco Experience.
